About the company
Software Mansion is a software development and consulting agency of over 400 people, growing steadily since 2012. We are a technology-centered company, but our primary goal is to build an organization that provides an exceptional working environment for all team members.
We fulfill our mission by working on exciting projects with our clients (for example, Discord, Amazon, Expensify, Partiful), by building top-notch developer tools, and by working hard on making sure that the efficient work is also satisfying. While we are a software development agency offering a broad spectrum of services, we have gained recognition in a couple of domains — in particular when it comes to React Native and the area of multimedia streaming.
What is the role about?
You’ll have the opportunity to explore the Project Manager role at Software Mansion through hands-on work on client projects (primarily based in the US), as well as by supporting our internal teams.
By taking on a broad range of responsibilities, you’ll gain a deep understanding of how our company operates. Our goal is for this experience to prepare you to continue with us in a permanent role.
At Software Mansion, we focus on three main areas of PM responsibility:
🧑🤝🧑 Team Taking care of the team's wellbeing and the overall comfort of work. Our main goal is to identify and respond to the needs of individual people. We strive to make our team members' work not only satisfying but also enjoyable.
💼 Client Building and maintaining strong and positive relationships with our clients. We proactively identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities that align with client needs.
📊 Project Ensuring successful delivery through Scrum/Agile methodology — keeping communication transparent, and monitoring timelines and budgets.
Who are we looking for?
We value attitude over experience, but there are a few skills we do require:
- excellent command of written and spoken Polish and English (C1 or above),
- solid computer skills: spreadsheets, email, and online calendar management,
- a basic understanding of the software development process.
Beyond that, what matters most is the right set of soft skills. You:
- organize your work effectively,
- are proactive and comfortable taking initiative when the situation calls for it,
- are outgoing, communicative, and easy to connect with,
- enjoy helping others and are happy to take on a variety of tasks.
The recruitment process
We expect plenty of strong candidates, but we can only bring on the best. We don't have a fixed deadline to apply — but we may close applications at any time once we have enough candidates, so if you're interested, don't wait too long.
The overall process is as follows:
Application: fill in the application form and attach your CV. This takes just a few minutes. Recruitment task: if you meet our criteria, we'll send you a task to assess your cognitive and interpersonal skills. It shouldn't take more than 60 minutes. We'll review it carefully and get back to you within a few days with feedback and next steps.
The Interviews: this stage involves a few meetings — the exact structure depends on your background. Expect around three interviews where you'll meet potential future colleagues. At some point, we'll also invite you to our office so we can meet in person. Interviews are conducted in Polish, with a short English conversation included.
The offer: after all the meetings, we need up to two weeks to make a decision. If the feedback is positive, you will receive an offer from us with all the details of cooperation. If it is negative, we will make it constructive.
Terms of Cooperation
Location: our Project Managers primarily work on-site at our Kraków office (Zabłocie 43b). While there’s flexibility to work a few days each month remotely, this role is mainly office-based.
Start date: we'll agree on a start date that works for both you and us, taking into account your availability as well as our current needs.
Working hours: this is a full-time job. We work flexible hours, though some meetings will require you to adjust your schedule accordingly.
Salary: at the beginning of the cooperation, you will be paid 7500 – 10000 PLN gross per month for the mandate contract or B2B | 6000 – 8000 PLN gross per month for the employment contract. The exact range depends on your skills and experience. As a junior team member, you'll also have access to all the benefits we offer.
