Start where many of our engineers did.

Twice a year, we welcome a new group of interns. Some start with a bootcamp to get up to speed on our stack; others jump straight into a project. Either way, you'll work on real client or internal products, with a mentor beside you and a team you can ask anything.

We will let you know when the recruitment process starts.

Real products, a mentor beside you, and a team you can ask anything.

We run internships hoping people will stay. Many do – some of them are still here a few years later, now mentoring interns of their own. The internship is where a lot of our engineers started, and we run every edition with that in mind.

A few highlights from previous editions

The internship has a history here.

What you'll actually work on

Web and mobile work that ships.

We focus on web and mobile projects, divided into two categories: client projects – mostly US startups, but also corporate ones – and internal, often open-source products. Our main technologies are TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and React Native; on the backend, Node.js, Python with Django, and Elixir.

Client projects

Client work gives you the chance to build products for teams around the world, from early-stage startups to larger organizations.

Internal and open-source products

Internal work lets you contribute to the open-source tools and products that Software Mansion is known for.

How the internship works

Real work, from day one.

Interns are part of the team from day one and work on real projects – client or internal – alongside our specialists.

We recruit to the company, not to specific projects – we'll try to match your preferences, but the assignment depends on our needs when you join.

Who we're looking for

Smart, curious people with a strong engineering mindset.

The internship is open to everyone. You don't need work experience, and it doesn't matter which year of study you're in or whether you're a student at all. What matters is how you present your skills during the recruitment process.

We look for smart, curious people with a strong engineering mindset rather than specific skills. However, there are a few requirements that you'll need to meet.

  • Core programming basics: algorithms and data structures, databases, networking, operating systems, web basics, and Git.
  • Polish and English at B2 level or higher.
  • Availability to work mainly from our Kraków office – occasional remote days are fine.

Knowing our technologies helps, but if you don't – you'll pick them up during the internship.

In their words

What former interns remember.

A few people who started their Software Mansion story with an internship.

“I was treated like a real teammate from day one, with trust, real ownership, and work that actually mattered. What stuck with me most is the confidence to jump in, take responsibility, and trust that I can figure things out along the way.”

“Starting out as an intern here was the best way to get real React Native experience from day one. Being able to work alongside and learn from devs who contribute to core RN libraries was an absolute highlight. That hands-on guidance made all the difference for where I am today.”

“What stood out most to me was the trust I received from day one, giving me the opportunity to work on real projects that people actually use every day. At the same time, I never felt left on my own, as my mentor and colleagues were always eager to help me navigate any challenges. Ultimately, the vibrant culture and engaging activities created a welcoming environment where I always felt truly comfortable in the office.”

“The range of work surprised me (in a good way) – one week I'd be doing a landing page, the next a much bigger system, plus things like big conference sites along the way. But the real thing I took from the internship is the people. It's hard to stay in place when everyone around you is clearly trying to get better at what they do.”

“The internship at SWM was an incredible experience for me. Even without any prior experience in RN, I was able to start earning money while developing my skills by reading documentation and building mobile apps. It was great to watch the product evolve with each passing day of the internship and to feel that I had an impact on it.”

“I think the internship at SWM was one of the most valuable experiences for my career. I got to own a real project from start to finish, worked closely with the client and had real autonomy from day one. The team was very welcoming and the vibe in the office was chill and supportive. Five years later, I'm still here, which I think says everything about the foundation that experience created. 😀”

“From day one, I was working with top experts and had an amazing mentor by my side. That kind of experience gave my personal growth a massive boost. Years later, the software engineering skills I learned during the internship remain the foundation of my daily work.”

“The biggest thing Software Mansion taught me during my internship was how to become comfortable with unfamiliar technologies and concepts. I learned that being a good engineer is not about knowing everything, but about being able to learn, adapt, and solve problems effectively. That mindset has stayed with me ever since.”

“Looking back, what I appreciated most was the incredible freedom to drive my own growth and make real technical decisions, which turned out to be the ultimate learning experience. Working alongside top React Native open-source contributors in such a relaxed, tight-knit atmosphere gave me a much broader, multi-faceted perspective on tech. To top it all off, I loved having the space to also get involved in non-coding initiatives like conferences and marketing.”

“This internship shifted how I look at projects — not just as code, but as actual products where engineering, marketing and solving real user problems come together. Having the freedom to experiment across the AI ecosystem and different technologies gave me a huge confidence boost. Taking on ambitious challenges made this the biggest learning experience of my career so far. They also taught me coffee sorcery.”

“My internship at Software Mansion was a wonderful opportunity for me to grow and improve my skills. I gained confidence in myself and my abilities. I was able to grow under the guidance of colleagues who were very supportive, and I am very grateful to them for that!”

  • Regular meetings with your mentor and evaluations along the way.

The final photo from every edition.

Summer or winter, every edition wraps up the same way – a plushie under everyone's arm on the way out. A small keepsake from the last few months and a genuinely good desk companion.
